'PowerMac is een serie computers van Apple gericht op de professionele gebruiker. De opvolger van de PowerMac is de Mac Pro.
De eerste PowerMac werd geïntroduceerd in 1994. De naam is afgeleid van de naam van de processor: PowerPC. Sinds de introductie zijn er drie grote updates geweest in de productie serie. De PowerMac G3, G4 en G5. Na de G5 kwam de naamsverandering, dit gebeurde met de transactie van PowerPC processoren naar Intel Xeon 'Woodcrest processoren.
